After studying Mathematics at the University of Leeds, Rachel took time out to explore the world, spending seven months backpacking across South East Asia and Australia — an experience that taught her perspective, adaptability, and an appreciation for life beyond the spreadsheets.

In 2008, she joined KPMG on their graduate scheme, where her talent and work ethic quickly stood out. Rachel qualified as both a Chartered Tax Adviser (CIOT) and a Chartered Accountant (ICAS), dedicating most of her decade at KPMG to the Private Client Tax department. There, she advised high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and owner-managed businesses, working first in the Manchester office before moving closer to home in Preston.

In 2018, Rachel joined Jones Harris, where she built on her private client expertise and developed a reputation as a skilled, pragmatic adviser in exit planning, succession planning, and business restructuring. She has successfully guided clients through business sales and purchases, as well as personal and corporate HMRC investigations, always combining technical precision with calm, clear-headed support.

Today, as the founder of Turnberry Tax, Rachel brings together her technical knowledge, practical experience, and genuine care for her clients. Her approach is defined by clarity, integrity, and a steady, thoughtful style — helping clients make confident financial decisions with complete peace of mind.

Outside of work, Rachel lives on the Fylde Coast with her husband, Chris, and their two children. When she’s not advising clients, you’ll often find her cheering for Blackpool FC, hiking the Wainwrights in the Lake District, or planning the family’s next travel adventure.

She’s also been known to show off an impromptu Riverdance to B*Witched’s C’est La Vie — proof that even the calmest tax advisers have their lively moments.
