Tax adviser registration

From 18th May 2026, tax advisers in the UK need to be registered with HMRC if they are dealing with someone else's tax affairs. Turnberry Tax is registered with HMRC as a tax agent and is supervised by ICAS for Anti-Money Laundering purposes.
If advisers contact HMRC directly without being registered, HMRC may give them a sanction.
This change will hopefully help to stop the rogues who give tax advisers a bad name!
